Support at Home is the Australian Government’s program that funds in-home care for older Australians. It replaced the old Home Care Packages system with something simpler and more flexible.
In plain terms: the government helps pay for support services so you can stay living at home safely, rather than moving into residential care before you need to.
You choose your provider, you choose your services, and you stay in control of your care. Montessori Care is a registered Support at Home provider across NSW.
Support at Home covers a wide range of in-home services. Here’s what’s included:
Showering, dressing, and grooming are delivered with dignity.
Cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
Nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs
Companionship, outings, and community access
Appointments, shopping, and social activities
Safety rails, ramps, and minor repairs
Physio, OT, podiatry, and nursing visits
Equipment and aids to support daily living

Call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.gov.au. They’ll arrange an assessment to understand your needs.
Based on your assessment, you’ll be allocated a funding level. The new system has 8 classifications based on your needs.
